In a May 12, 2026 announcement, the USDA removed ten lenders from its guaranteed lending program due to noncompliance and irresponsible lending practices—a zero-tolerance move to protect program integrity and taxpayer dollars.

The impacted lenders accounted for nearly 47% of the program’s delinquent loan volume, highlighting just how serious compliance breakdowns can become.

The message is clear: Compliance is not a one-time event—it’s a lifecycle responsibility.

It must be maintained across:

  • Origination

  • Servicing

  • Liquidation

Failures at any stage can result in:

  • Increased risk and delinquencies

  • Guaranty exposure

  • Audit findings

  • Loss of program access

At LendServPro, we help lenders stay compliant at every step—so you can protect your portfolio and your ability to participate in USDA and other government programs.
